Amie Aliza's line of jewelry uses a variety of materials, so please check the product description of each item, to fully understand what you are purchasing. Due to the rising cost of gold, we have switched to mostly ion-plated stainless steel and sterling silver products. You will notice that the gold-filled products are at a higher price point than the rest of the collection.
What is ion plating?
Ion plating is an advanced coating process that uses a vacuum chamber and ion particles to bond the metal coating to the surface at a molecular level. This creates a stronger, more wear-resistant finish, that holds up well in water and against sweat.
If you are someone who loves to live in their jewelry (shower, exercise, etc), our gold filled (more expensive) and ion-plated (more affordable) options will be best suited for you.
Some of the charms used are non-ion plated, but can last for years with the right care. Non-ion plated jewelry requires a little extra love and attention, to keep your item looking new for as long as possible.

- Apply sprays, perfumes and lotions before (and let dry!) putting on your jewelry.
- For ultimate longevity, all jewelry should be removed when showering, exercising and swimming.
- Sterling silver is a metal that lasts for years, but it can oxidize easily. This tarnish can be easily buffed away with a soft cloth, and if needed, a silver cleaner.
- The best storage method is to keep your pieces in a jewelry box or air-tight container when not being worn.

What do I do if my jewelry is defective, or breaks?
If you find that your jewelry breaks or fades due to a workmanship error, within six months of purchasing, send a photo of the issue to amiealizajewelry@gmail.com, and we will be happy to send you a replacement at no additional cost. Shipping costs will be covered by Amie Aliza Jewelry.
