Meet the Inspiration

Named after Hazel Ying Lee (1912–1944), one of the first Chinese American women to earn a pilot's license and a pioneering WASP ferry pilot during World War II. Hazel flew military aircraft across the United States, helping deliver planes where they were needed most while breaking barriers for women and Asian Americans in aviation.
