Meet the Inspiration
The Jaqueline Earrings pay tribute to Jacqueline Cochran, best known as the first woman to break the sound barrier. In 1937, she was the only woman to compete in the Bendix Air Race and worked with Amelia Earhart to open the race to women. That year, she set a new women's world speed record, and was often called the "Speed Queen".
Cochran also earned helicopter ratings and promoted rotary wing aviation during the post-war era.
