Meet the Inspiration

The Florence Earrings are named after Florence "Pancho" Barnes (1901–1975), one of aviation's most adventurous pioneers. A record-breaking pilot, Hollywood stunt flyer, and trailblazer for women in aviation. In 1930, she broke Amelia Earhart's world women's speed record, reaching 170 kts in a Travel Air Type R Mystery Ship (pictured above).

Florence challenged convention with fearless determination and an unwavering love of flight. Her remarkable legacy continues to inspire those with the courage to forge their own path.
